Holy crap. I thought it was a bad idea to self-bug your home with Alexa. But it is worse than I ever thought. Researchers at UC Berkeley and Georgetown have shown that one can embed commands in music. That means just listening to music or a video while Alexa is in the room is a risk. Just don’t do it.
Another privacy article. Not so sure or the safety of an Echo, though. I understand the convenience of an Echo. But you are voluntarily bugging your home.
Facebook losing advertisers because of its data collecting and sharing. (The Cambridge Analytics use is not a breach.) Zuckerberg says he is open to government regulation of Facebook. Say what!? Facebook must be very scared.
I don’t use facebook for many reasons, lack of time, lack of interest, lack of friends. But as I learn more about facebook’s dark under belly I am starting to wear is as a badge of honor; as a point of pride. Read this and worry.
